Student Checklist

First-Year Students

  1. Review the Documents for Admitted Students.
  2. Let us know whether or not you will accept our offer of admission by letting us know your decision. You'll find a link to do so on your acceptance letter. If you accept, you will pay the non-refundable $500 enrollment deposit online at that time.
  3. Once your enrollment fee has been processed, you can register for New Students Orientation. Students who have paid their enrollment deposit receive an email when the registration site opens.
  4. Request that your official final high school transcript (with graduation certification) be sent to the Admissions Office (mail@admissions.umass.edu). If it needs to be mailed the address is:
    UMass Amherst Undergraduate Admissions Office
    Mather Building
    37 Mather Drive
    Amherst, MA 01003
Student-printed transcripts are not considered official.

NOTE:  Admitted international students should follow the guidelines provided here. Shortly after admission, international students will receive an email from the International Programs Office. It is very important that students follow those instructions carefully when providing financial documentation to the International Programs Office.
