When Will I Hear About Admission?
After we process your application, you will receive an admissions ID and access code that enables you to check the status of your application on the Admissions home page.
Admissions decision letters are mailed according to the following schedule:

UMass Amherst participates in the Candidate’s Reply Date option, which permits a Regular Decision applicant accepted for the fall to wait until May 1 to notify the university of intent to enroll.
Once accepted, students receive invitations to "Spring Receptions for Admitted Students”. These open house programs are held in March and April and include a campus tour, a faculty speaker, a student question-and-answer panel, a financial aid presentation, and an academic and student activity resource fair.
Important: If you are admitted to UMass Amherst, you still cannot slack off. Admission is contingent upon successful completion of your high school graduation requirements at a level consistent with admissions standards. So keep senioritis at bay!
