Loan Consolidation
Consolidation is the process of combining one or more eligible federal educational loans into a single new loan. The Direct Loan Program offers a Direct Consolidation Loan for those borrowers who are interest in consolidation.
Before initiating a Direct Loan consolidation, it is important that you determine whether or not your Perkins Loan(s) could be forgiven based on employment. Check out the cancellation link for a list of eligible jobs that may allow your loan to be forgiven in part or in full.
