Mission Statement

The mission of the Research Accounting Section of the Controller's Office is to provide the research community of the University of Massachusetts Amherst with quality and professional service.

In contributing to fulfilling the campus' mission to research, the Research Accounting  Section is responsible for adherence to generally accepted accounting principles and providing quantitative and non-quantitative financial reporting in compliance with research sponsors and University and State policies and procedures.
