"IT IS AN ILL WIND THAT BLOWS NOBODY GOOD."

We give an Illustration of the last drama produced at the Adelphi for exhibiting the talents of Mr. and Mrs. Wigan, the former in the role of Strap, a cobbler, and the later in that of the Lady Mayoress, who is introduced for the first time to a long-lost daughter and cannot restrain the feelings consequent on a recognition.  The situation concludes an act, and is well represented by our artist, who gives the gesture of honest Crispin with great effect.  Mr. Wigan has certainly struck into a new walk in this character and shows as free a feeling for unsophisticated nature as in other domestic dramas he has for artificial life.  The piece is one likely to retain possession of the stage, and we shall probably often see Mr. Wigan in the part.
