Audition Information
FOR MEMBERS INTERESTED IN THE BAND!
There are no auditions for those interested in being in the band. However there will be a one-time evaluation of marching and playing that is used just for placement.
FOR MEMBERS INTERESTED IN THE DRUMLINE!
All first year members interested in the drumline need to submit an audition video by July 1. Please visit the drumline website at www.umassdrumline.org for instructions. Click on 'audition', download the PDF's, and follow the instructions for the audition procedure. Please email Thom Hannum if you have any questions.
FOR MEMBERS INTERESTED IN THE COLORGUARD!
All new colorguard members (flag, saber, baton, rifle), must send in a DVD or VHS of a solo routine performed to music of your choice. The goal is to showcase your talent level. If you are proficient in more than one piece of equipment please include those all in the routine. This is video is to determine proper placement within the colorguard and not a try out video. Please include, any body and dance elements and be aware of your free arms and facial projections at all times. Routine length should be more than 32 counts and under 4 minutes. Presentation and professionalism is very important. Make sure that you can perform this routine in a live setting as well as your video presentation. Instructions on sending will be shown after registration is complete.
